I just learned that "BRETT ALWAYS WINS" has been chosen as one of the semi-finalists in the category of mysteries/thrillers in the Best Indie Book of 2012 contest being held by the Kindle Book Review.

The present list of semi-finalists will be narrowed down to just 5 in this category (to be announced on September 1).
Following that, the final winner out of those 5 will be announced on October 1.

Well -- "BRETT ALWAYS WINS" is -- strictly speaking -- a comedy-mystery, so it doesn't fall neatly into the mysteries/thrillers category. In that respect, it may already have 2 strikes against it.
Besides, the competition looks pretty tough -- So, the next question is:
Is BRETT tough enough ? ? ?
Does an unscrupulous bastard like BRETT stand a chance in a world that is run by people with scruples ??? (supposedly)
I guess we'll just have to sit & wait --
